London's Olympia is hosting the annual London International Horse Show for the next few days.
On until December 23rd, the event is perfect for those staying in central London hotels for Christmas as there are still tickets available. Anyone not lucky enough to be able to make it this year, should book now for the 2013 event which is set to be just as popular.
London's International House Show has been held at Olympia since 1907 and attracts professional riders from across the world to take part in a number of special events. Visitors can see dressage displays as well as show jumping competitions over the course of the seven days.
There are also special displays from the most skilled international horse men and women and this year there is a special mounted show by the Barcelona Police as they are performing the famous Carrusel in the main show arena.
A display by the Kennel Club Dog Agility and the Shetland Pony Grand National are also expected to attract large crowds.
The whole event finishes on December 23rd with a special festive-themed show featuring many top performances. This year's theme is the circus and is expected to be one of the highlights of the whole event.
For those looking to pick up a last-minute Christmas gift for a horse lover, then the presence of 200 exhibitors means there is bound to be something suitable.
Olympia is next to Kensington (Olympia) station on the London Overground and is one stop away from Shepherd's Bush on the Central line and West Brompton on the District line.
