London’s O2 Arena is presenting a special Hit Factory Live Christmas Party next month.

The festive event is due to the cancellation of the summer gig because of flooding at Hyde Park and will see some of the big names involved with the Stock Aitken Waterman production team take to the stage on December 21st.

People enjoying London getaways will be treated to performances from 80s and 90s stars such as Steps, Rick Astley, Sonia, Dead or Alive, Sinitta and boyband Brother Beyond.

There have also been strong rumours circulating that the special event could feature a guest appearance from Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan performing their Stock, Aitken and Waterman classic duet Especially For You.

Pete Waterman explained to OfficialCharts.com: “Everybody’s on the bill that would have been on the bill at Hyde Park. As ever, I can’t give away too many secrets. The thing with all these things is, you have to wait and see.”

He added: “We were devastated when Hyde Park’s Hit Factory Live had to be cancelled. The moment had passed, that was it. So I then decided that maybe we could do something indoors. My favourite time of year has always been Christmas.”

There are a limited numbers of tickets still available starting from £49.50 and some of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Cancer Research UK charity.

The venue, which regularly hosts appearances by top musical acts, is a short walk from the North Greenwich London Underground station and is accessible from the centre of the capital city via the Jubilee line.
