Fans of track cycling are sure to rejoice as the UCI Track Cycling World Cup comes to London this December. A collection of world champions and Olympic stars are set to come together to compete at the tournament’s second round at the Lee Valley VeloPark’s velodrome.

It is certain to be interesting, evenĀ if you are not even into your track cycling, as there will be qualifying points up for grabs for the Rio 2016 Olympics, so the racing is set to be nothing short of breathtaking. It will be the first time that the GB cycling team has fully got together since the 2012 Games, and now they will be battling it out in this three-day competition at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The UCI Track Cycling World Cup will be running from December 5th to 7th with both qualifying and final sessions taking place each day. Tickets are currently available, while VIP packages are also on offer in the form of VIP Platinum Dining and VIP Lounge experiences – these ensure that you are right next to the finish line so you can be in the heart of all action.

Keep the weekend of luxury going and book a room at the stylish and spacious Shaftesbury hotels. These will be a good base if you want to do a spot of sightseeing in the city, such as exploring the free National Portrait Gallery and British Museum, catching a musical in the West End or enjoying stunning panoramic views atop of the London Eye. After all that, grab dinner at one of the many amazing restaurants in London, specialising in all manner of cuisines such as Chinese, Italian and British.
